In every time-period there is always group of moral preachers who take on the role of the chosen ones. These people usually acquire some sort of moral authority, fame, and or status in culture and they walk around guiding, punishing and advising people on how to behave. Today in the 21st century that group can be found on social media under the banner “Cancel Culture” and “Influencer” and “Social Justice.” In this short piece I explore the possibility of the people who are policing the perpetrators to be as bad as the perpetrators.
